Ragdoll in a Hurricane
02:39
|
|||
The world catapults me into it's flow
I try to run at its speed to lessen the blow
None the less I get torn and ripped and flung
Like a ragdoll in a hurricane it's hard to hold on
When you're goin' insane goin' insane
Constantly snagged and dragged just like the smoke from a flame
My flesh flies away grey shamed and maimed
Just for this reason I always keep with me a needle and thread
to sew myself back together again
But I 'm always sewin' and my needles getting dull and bent
It hurts more and more to mend my wounds each day woe woe
But I'll keep on till I'm in a grave low below
Where I ache and bellow in the darkness of shadows
oh ohhh
This hurricane's gotta take me somewhere
I'm' askin' Lord please won't you take me there
To that prize I see when its late at night and I dream
Trying to hold on so tight cause I know I'm feeling weak
Keep on movin' ahead that's what my father always said
Washingtons never quit till they're post-mortem in bed
The whole world catapults me all over again
Can I make it better by dopin' the pain
Should I smoke in chains
Act like I don't know how I aught to behave
F*%% country that steals you then wants to throw you away
Brothers and Sisters locked away behind bars
In cement walls
Life full of dire straits, loss, and remorse
